To ensure market expansion and filling up gaps in distribution network.
To ensure extensive coverage of the allotted area through sales team.
To personally supervise the operation & functioning of each sales team & distributor.
To plan out the S. O. / A. Ms tour plans for effective coverage of territory.
Follow up of Sales Officer/ A. Ms market visit reports & settlement of their tour bills.
To ensure proper market visibility for various brands.
2. Target setting
To define the sales targets to ASM/ Sr. Sales Officers/ Sales Officers
To ensure achievement of various targets allotted from time to time and solve the problem faced by the sales team, if any.
To ensure submission of target vs. achievement periodically for calculation of incentive etc.
To prepare territory wise sales plan.
To review sales plan in daily basis, monthly wise, Quarterly basis & Annual basis.
To follow up distributor wise payments.
To ensure credit controls within the companys laid down norms.
To make recommendations for legal course of action in case of non recovery of old dues.
4. Competition/ Market Development
To keep the company informed about competitors activities like various schemes, new introductions, special activities etc.
To make recommendation of various advertisement activities required to fight competition.
To prepare market development plans like appointing distributors in unrepresented areas, finding new avenues like institutional sales etc.
To groom up the subordinates to sharpen their skills & develop them to take up higher responsibilities.
To ensure prompt execution of orders by co-ordination with H. O.
To ensure availability of Road Permits/ various transit forms wherever required.
To ensure timely collection of C Forms.
To ensure settlement of claims/ goods return credit notes.
To help the distributor for liquidation of stuck up articles/ sizes etc.
To attend to distributors correspondence & give satisfactory replies.
To forward/ recommend distributor wise bonus achievement/ various schemes etc. for settlement.
To ensure routine, timely reconciliation of distributor accounts.
To follow up timely submission of scheme details by the distributors.
To provide an overall view of the business at various levels.
To provide information pertaining to sales policy & suggestions/ recommendations for any change.
To facilitate clearance of old & slow selling articles.
To facilitate the company in production-planning by forecasting the future requirements.
To exercise measures to economies company operations through effective marketing operations.
To supervise & appraise the functioning of Asst. Manager/ Sales Officers reporting to him.
CORE EXPERIENCE : The incumbent should have 7-10 yrs. of experience in FMCG Sector.
QUALIFICATION & ELIGIBILITY: MBA/ PGDBM in Sales & Marketing from a reputed Institute.
COMPUTER PROFICIENCY : Knowledge of MS- Word, Excel, Power Point, ERP.
