Assignment 1: (September 2007 to August 2009)
Designation: Officer-HR
Location: Baroda Corporate Cent re (Corporate Office), Mumbai
Being a part of Corporate HR team at Baroda Corporate Cent re, I was actively involved in entire gamut of HR activities like formulation of progressive HR Policy guidelines, balancing employee aspirations with Management expectations, Recruitment of Clerical Staff/ Officers/ Specialist Officers/ Executives, Performance Management and coordinating with the Regions in smooth implementation of HR guidelines.

Responsibilities/ Assignments

While attached to Resourcing Cell, I was involved in all kinds of internal and external recruitments. Apart from recruitment activities, it involved lot of coordination with all the 43 Regional Offices and 10 Zonal Offices of the Bank, external agencies and also all the internal departments of the Bank.
Involved in the implementation of Performance Management System in the Bank and designing Performance Management and Evaluation Format for employees
Identification of bottom performers and proposing corrective steps and monitoring their performance
Designing of incentive schemes for employees
Working in Promotions team and involved in conducting different Promotion Exercises from Sub-staff cadre to Executive cadre

Assignment 2: (August 2009 to till date)

Location: Regional Office, Surat Region, Surat
After gaining exposure in Corporate HR Team for over 23 months, I was transferred to Regional Office, Surat which gave me the platform to implement all the strategies I was involved in designing at Corporate Office. Besides, I am given an opportunity to have a first hand experience of ground HR practices. Key responsibilities of Regional HR in Bank of Baroda are as follows:

Administrative Role payment of salary through Fluous Payroll Package (in-house package for payroll), attendance and leave details, calculation, payment, monitoring and post-sanction scrutiny of bills of Traveling/ Diem/ Medical expenses as per the entitlement of the staff member, payment of terminal benefits to the separating employees; Conducting HR Audit and recovering revenue leakage; Creating and updating records in HRnes (in-house HRMS package developed by Oracle)
Managing Role selection of clerical staff for posts carrying special allowances; inter-region and inter-zonal transfers of staff members; deployment of staff members within the Region; Exit interviews; Disciplinary Actions on employees including drafting and serving of Charge-sheet to employees to awarding punishment
Developmental Role Training need assessment and nominating employees for suitable internal/ external/ on-the-job trainings; Implementation of new Employee Performance Management System (EPMS) including goal-setting for Branch Heads and allotment of KRAs to Officers to mid-year and final review of performance; Organizing Employee Conclaves; Counseling bottom performers and preparing performance improvement plan
