Required Skills/ Domain Knowledge:

- 3+ years of experience with developing code using Cobol.
- 3+ years of experience with developing code using embedded SQL (preferrably Rdb, Oracle acceptable).
- Strong analytical skills.
Preferred Skills/ Domain Knowledge - Experience developing software on VAX/ VMS.
- Experience developing command procedures using DCL.
- ACMS experience.
- DecForms experience.
Required Behavioral Competencies - Self motivated and committed individual.
- Strong English speaking skills.
- Ability to take instruction and learns quickly.
- Ability to work independently as well as working with others.
- Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, and not repeat mistakes.

- Must be proficient developing code using COBOL.
- Must understand relational database concepts and have working experience using relational databases.
- Must be proficient writing and executing SQL including: retrieval queries, table joins, insert/ update/ delete queries.
- Must be proficient coding with embedded SQL.
- Must be proficient in DCL and VMS.
- Must have experience using a scheduling tool.
- Ability to develop quality test plans from Detail Design documents.
- Ability to unit test complex code capturing test results.
- Ability to analyze functionality being developed ensuring complete and comprehensive solutions.
