| Job Description A. Job Purpose:
To develop and implement metallurgical analysis in an organized manner in accordance with the performance requirements and quality standards so as to meet customers satisfaction and maintain continuity of business.
B. Principal Accountabilities:
1. To keep a check over the daily rejections and analyze the same.
2. Writing documents, manuals, metallurgical investigations, and reports in support of customer liaison
3. To see that all the instruments are working in proper condition and are calibrated.
4. To co-ordinate with Quality Manager in attending customer complaints and take necessary steps for the same.
5. Responsible for implementing the actions taken in the Quality Department.
6. Performing root cause analysis to reduce internal rejections.
7. Validation of the production process.
8. Incoming inspection to be carried out and records to be maintained.
9. Analyzing metal samples in a laboratory
10. Interpreting customers' manufacturing design requirements and product application
11. Researching and developing test or repair technology and new products
12. Investigating corrosion processes, for example in relation to oil platforms.
13. Study on process improvements like wire drawing, annealing, cold forging and heat treatment.
C. Key Performance Indicators:
1. Corrective actions for customer complaints
2. Wastage to be in the minimum level
3. Quality Rejections Control
4. Root cause analysis. |
| Candidate Profile Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering.
1-2 years experience in manufacturing industry in quality assurance.
Attention to details and concern for quality.
Knowledge of international standards viz. ISO 9001:2000, ASTM, DIN, etc.
Knowledge of 5S and best practices.
