5+ years of computer industry experience, preferably with 3+ years in RAID/ storage experience.

Sound understanding of RAID concepts, RAID Algorithm Development experience is highly desirable

Knowledge of Embedded Linux, Linux kernel, device driver and application programming

Essential Job Function

Participate in the product architecture, design and implementation phase for storage subsystem projects.

Individual will utilize their experience with complex subsystem controller design to analyze feature requirement and specify, develop and test embedded firmware for storage applications.

Work with FW manager and Program Management team establishing project schedule, milestone and execution plan.

Create architecture, feature analysis and design/ implementation document.

Work with EUT, EVT and SQA test lab personnel assisting with debug, problem analysis and correction of defects found during testing.

Qual: BSCS or BSEE.
Other requirements:

SCSI/ Fibre Channel knowledge.

SCSI, ATA, SATA, SAS disk interface knowledge

Fluent in C programming. Preferable knowledge in xScale and PPC.

Basic HW knowledge of an embedded system, PCI bus, PCI Express, ASIC components and usage of bus analyzer, logic analyzer

Practical understanding of sound and efficient FW development processes.

Good communication and documentation skills.

Automated testing is plus.
