| Job Description 1. Configuring and maintaining LAN/ WAN equipments and related services
2. Installing, supporting and maintaining server hardware and software infrastructure including File Servers, Exchange Server, Print Servers, FTP Server, Antivirus Server, Firewall etc.
3. Setting up user accounts, permissions, file/ folder access, group policies and domain policies through Windows 2000/ 2003 servers
4. Maintaining and troubleshooting routers and switches
5. Taking backups of File servers, Database Servers and Outlook Mail boxes
6. Maintaining backups safely and making them available at the quickest if required
7. Installing, configuring and supporting Windows 2000/ XP/ Vista and Macintosh systems
8. Obtaining and maintaining licenses for the software packages used in the company
9. Specialized in troubleshooting problems with MS Office products, Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash & 3B2 applications
10. Periodically obtaining and applying service packs and patches for the software and operating systems
11. Monitoring network usage regularly and fine-tuning it for the best performance
12. Monitoring internet usage, e-mail usage and updating the firewall policies as and when required
13. Ensuring hardware/ network security and the safety of the electronic assets of the company at all costs
14. Installing, configuring and maintaining Linux Web/ Mail servers
15. A good knowledge in hardware would be an added advantage |
