| Job Description Linux Device Driver Development for FC/ SAS/ ISCSI/ SCSI Protocol ASICs.
Responsibilities include:
Design, Implement and Unit Test Initiator/ Target Mode drivers for FC/ SAS/ ISCSI/ SCSI ASIC
drivers for External Storage RAID controllers
Provide accurate design documents for all the modules developed
Participate in peer review of design and code and mentor new hires
Work with global teams to define and discuss next generation feature sets
Work with management software teams to define the management interface to configure the
protocol modules
Work with EUT/ EVT/ DVT/ SQA teams during the product testing cycles, resolve issues, provide
documentation and participate in bug review meetings
Interface with external ASIC vendors and perform research on various ASIC solutions available and help the product management team choose the right component for future generation of products
Attend Plugfests and Developer Forums on a business need basis. |
| Candidate Profile Qualifications:
MS in EE/ CE plus 3 yrs exp as software or firmware engineer, alternatively, BS in EE/ CE plus 5
years' progressive experience as software or firmware engineer will substitute for MS in EE/ CE plus
3 yrs experience. Employer will accept any candidate with suitable combination of education,
training or experience.
Exceptional C Programming and Debugging Skills
Linux Device Drivers Development. Embedded Linux Driver Development experience is a plus
Fiber Channel, SAS, ISCSI, SCSI and SATA; PCI-X and PCI-Express
Principles of RAID and RAID Subsystems
TCP/ IP and Networking Fundamentals
Processor Architecture such as Intel XScale and PowerPC
SAN environment experience is a plus
Strong High-Availability Fundamentals and Concepts is a plus
Windows and Linux Storage Environment is a plus
OS fundamentals, bootstrapping an OS experience is a plus
