Job Description
Pericles Strategy, Research and Innovation (SR&I) Team:
The SR&I team consists of professionals focussed on market & competitive intelligence, thought leadership, solution development, knowledge management, strategic planning, and commercialization to produce high value offerings that generate bottom line benefits for clients and the firm. SR&I professionals work closely with their US counterparts to identify business development priorities. The group plays a key role in communicating and commercializing the firm's perspective to a broad audience around the world.
The MI team:
Market Intelligence (MI) contributes to business development by providing account teams actionable insight about key industry drivers and client issues. It supports Pericles business planning by continuously monitoring and analyzing markets and industries and identifying business opportunities.
Specific Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
1. Utilize internal and external databases, and other research tools on the Internet to create company profiles and value added research data pertaining to:
Public and Private Companies (mostly in the US and Europe)
Critical Business Information
Financial News
Mergers & Acquisitions
Private Placement Transactions
Key Executives and Directors
The research data consists of:
Basic company information like business, location, and year founded.
Financial information like value of stocks, market index, details about companies assets.
Mergers and acquisitions information like details about the companies it has acquired or if it has been acquired by some other company, deal size etc.
Tracking key developments for particular companies by means of tracking their press releases or other public documents.
Information about the companys directors, CEO, CFO, General Manager etc.
2. Generate Business leads through internet based search, email campaign
3. Assist senior management in day to day tasks, schedule and time management
Candidate Profile
Education:
UG - B. Com Commerce, BA, B. Tech, B. Arch, B. Sc
PG - MBA/ PGDM Finance, Marketing, Operations
Desired ( Not Required) Candidate Profile
6 months to 1 year of business/ secondary research experience. Interns are not expected to have prior full-time work experience. (Experience while in college acceptable).
Must have strong verbal and written English skills
Exposure to working in teams and independently
Knowledge of or capable of learning online databases like Bloomberg, Hoovers, Factiva, One Source, Thomson, etc.
A self-starter, people skills, organizational, mature, confident, independent, willing to learn, attention to detail, communications skills, basic computer skills, and a passion for excellence.

Access to high-speed internet connection that can support conversations through internet.
