The Sr. Software Tester position is a hands-on manual and automation software testing role with a primary focus on leading the effort of setting up a brand new software testing practice at various financial institutions. In addition, the qualified candidate will plan, architect, design, and deploy effective test suites and regimes for in-house product development, software application development, and information system launches. This individual will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate, and resolve systems/ software application issues through careful testing in order to maximize the quality and benefits of IT investments and initiatives.

Four-year college diploma or university degree in software engineering or computer science, and/ or 8 years equivalent work experience.
Minimum 2- 2 years of experience with scripting, VBScript preferred.
Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience with Testing Automation using Quick Test Professional, including
o Heavy VB Scripting - creation & maintenance
o Parameterization
o Checkpoints & Data Validation.
o Data driven and Keyword Testing
o Quality Center Organizational skills
o Linking test cases to requirements
Experience performing or participating in Software Quality Assurance & Software Testing Assessments Plus but not necessary
Experience performing or participating in Product Quality Assurance CMM or CMMI or ISO 9001 Assessments - Plus but not necessary
Experience with InfoSys Financle Banking Application Plus but not necessary
2 - 3 years direct experience as a test engineer for major application integration and/ or major application product release, with at least 2 years experience with web applications.
Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software testing solutions.
Strong knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
Direct hands-on experience with automated testing tools, preferably LoadRunner and QTP.
Working knowledge of programming languages, and relational database systems, including SQL query development.

WORK CONDITIONS
Travel is required for the purpose of off-site software and system applications testing.
Position requires 6 months to 1 year relocation to Nigeria

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
