Job Description

HOME-LIKE HOTELS offer a unique collection of hotels which are affordable, available and accessible and provide a fine standard of comfort and indulgence for the discerning guest. HLH is a membership based sales and marketing solution for small to mid sized independent economy hotels to promote their products and services, to provide them with increased visibility as well as make them more accessible to the individual traveller.

As a fast-growing start-up company, we are looking for a dynamic Sales Administrator to work full time. The ideal candidate will have had some exposure to the hospitality industry, preferably on the sales-side and be looking for wider and more challenging exposure. The position is available from 25th April 2009.

POSITION OVERVIEW :

The key objective of the role is to support the HLH management team to cover sales administrative functions, communication with HLH members, providing office coverage, event organisation and answering telephone enquiries for HLH hotels. This is an active all-round office based sales role which will be educational as well as challenging, motivating and rewarding for the right individual.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

Very good communication skills including the ability to speak, read and write English and Hindi fluently
Exposure to a multi-cultural environment and understands cultural diversity and its impact on business

Familiar with day to day technology, internet, internet telephony, word processing software like Word, Powerpoint etc
RESPONSIBILITIES

COMMUNICATION - Answering telephone enquiries & making calls where necessary
COMMUNICATION - Maintaining communication links with all HOME-LIKE HOTELS to collect relevant information as well as to advise them of the latest HLH initiatives
RESEARCH - Market research and identifying new hotels which could form part of the HLH portfolio
SALES Call various corporate companies to establish their corporate travel requirements, establish a relationship and to solicit business for HLH
ADMINISTRATION - Office coverage and all administration duties including office supplies looking after visitors to the office
ADMINISTRATION - Updating financial system with relevant information
ADMINISTRATION (SALES) - Receive and respond to enquiries where necessary
ADMINISTRATION (SALES) - Maintaining the data and use of CRM system
ADMINISTRATION (SALES) - Organising events where required
ADMINISTRATION (SALES) - Organisation of travel and accommodation requirements for HLH team
ADMINISTRATION (SALES) - Provide support to the sales team where relevant
ADMINISTRATION (SALES) - Ad-hoc sales administration work as may be required and as instructed by the HLH management team

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Sales Administrator will directly report to the head of operations of the company and will need to maintain regular contact over e-mail, Skype and other methods as advised with other members of the HLH team.
