General
- BE/ ME in CS or EE
- 3 to 5 yrs of experience in Software Development
- 3+ yrs of Strong proven hands-on skills in Software development using C, C++
- 2+ yrs of Strong proven hands-on skills in Software Development on Linux platform, preferably on Multi-core systems
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Data Networking SW development
- Strong fundamentals of Computer Architecture, Algorithms, Data Structures, Operating Systems
- Thorough knowledge of Basic Data Networking including Ethernet,
- L2 protocols (STP, VLAN)
- L3 protocols (IP, ARP, RIP, OSPF etc)
- L4 protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP)
- Hands-on experience of standard Software development tools including, GCC, GDB, Clearcase, etc
- Good written and verbal communication in English language
- Required good team work and ability to work will multi-site global teams
Specific
- Preference for Hands-on experience/ knowledge in any Security SW viz. Firewall, IPS, IDP, VPN, Application Firewalls etc.
- Preference for Hands-on experience/ knowledge in any Application Switching/ Optimization SW viz. SLB, SSL Accelerator, Application Optimization, Bandwidth Management, XML Routing
- Knowledge and experience developing software for Network Processors a plus.
