KEY RESPONSIBILIES:
ADSL/ ADSL2/ ADSL2+ CPE firmware Testing:
Working on PHY layer testing which includes Sanity, Regression & Production testing on xDSL CPE firmware mainly for Annex A/ M.
Studying design docs, interface with team and development members to clarify design changes. Prepare test plans based on design and maintain the document with modifications based on design changes. Defining and enhancing test strategy for optimum coverage.
Installation test beds including hardware and software components. Executions of test plan and test schedule, file bugs and ensure completeness of coverage. Reporting of all issues in timely manner.
Mentoring junior team members in all aspects of technology, tools and process. Take ownership of the quality for the feature/ testing.
Working closely with developers towards the bug resolution process. Work on issues reported from the field, by Customer Support, Sales or other entities.

Tools: WHIP, DDTS (Bug Tracking Tool), GCAT (TCL Automation), Teraterm, tftp, bootp, VxWorks, Loop Simulator, Noise Generator, Smart Bit, IXIA traffic Generator & Analyser etc.

Wireless 80. 211 b/ g AP Testing:
Working on testing methodologies like system, functional, Regression, or Test Automation for 802. 11 Access Point firmware testing. I mainly involve in Product Verification includes Access Point Sanity/ Regression testing, Stability, Performance/ Through-put testing and securities like WEP, WPA, WPA2, VAP & WPS testing.
Involve in creating and executing complex test plans, working interactively with Development to find and resolve bugs. Testing has a solid grasp of the full product life cycle from initial marketing requirements through development, QA and into final commercial release.
Creating test plans based on a full understanding of both product requirements and architectural specifications and thoroughly execution in a heterogeneous networked environment.
Testing requires strong troubleshooting skills on MS Windows and a system/ network administration background in order to be able to isolate and accurately report bugs. Regular status updates and communication with management & development team.

Tools: Teraterm, tftp, bootp, Chariot, DDTS, Wireless Clients from Different Vendors, FTP server, Multicast server etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILIES:

Worked on IPTV environment: testing, configuration, implementation & maintenance/ trouble-shooting of IPTV network.
Velankani is involved in developing middleware software (SMS V Subscriber Management System) for mPhase TV+ product. I was playing valuable role in testing the middleware software in parallel with development in SDLC.
I involved in IPTV project; mPhase TV+ project was worked on Triple Play technology, which serves Voice, Video & Data simultaneously. IPTV is a digital television, which offers channel streams, VoD (Video On Demand), EPG (Electronic Program Guide), Channel Guide for future programs, PPV (Pay Per View programs) and lots of other services.
Regression, Integration, System testing of various products, which involved in mPhase TV+ project.
Collecting inputs and acting on communications with product definitions team and development team to design new test cases.
Actively involved in Team test report review and maintenance. Team members training and mentoring.
Worked at client place (On-site) for three times for testing, implementation, deployment & troubleshooting work in Odessa, Ukraine.
KEY RESPONSIBILIES:

I was an Executive Engineer of the DSL department; my overall job responsibilities included strategic planning for installation of Micro Pops for DSL network and post maintenance for its well functioning.
Managed advance Internet zone supported by DSL Technology from project to operational stage. Ensuring 99% uptime of DSL network from last mile to the end users keeping sharp supervision of the existing network round the clock.
Worked on Core networking of DSL backbone. Configuring DSLAMs (Ericsson), ECN 320, ESN 310, EXN 104, EPN 302, PEM server for Ericsson Equipments, Cisco Routers, SDH technology, IPTV, Transmission equipments like Tejas Mux, ECI Mux etc.
New product evaluation, testing, rollout and escalation/ feedback to seniors on performance. Imparting trainings to Field Engineers on DSL, NetXpert, and Customer Delight etc.
