DCFM is network management software for the Storage Area Network (SAN). The DCFM application is a robust management tool that enables administrators to discover, configure and monitor corporate SANs. DCFM simplifies SAN management, optimizes storage resources, and minimizes storage networking risks. DCFM scales from department-level SANs to enterprise networks which provide detailed logging, diagnostics, and proactive alerts that help ensure the health of the fabric Streamlines troubleshooting process. Event Management gives the ability to automate routine tasks and reduce the amount of manual intervention necessary for the management of the storage network. With DCFM's Performance Monitor, we can measure the current performance statistics, historic metrics and future trends of every switch port. There are optional features which help to evaluate the effects of a new device deployment on an existing SAN or plan for a completely new storage network using a set of best practice configuration rules. The features of DCFM include enabling of SAN management from a single console, Systems administrators have the ability to view and zone components in the SAN, as well as remotely adding, removing, or modifying Brocade's interconnected directors and switches, integrates with leading multi-vendor applications. DCFM uses standard mechanisms to integrate with leading enterprise management frameworks such as HP OpenView and IBM Tivoli, enabling proactive SAN management. Deliver enterprise-class scalability without compromising on performance. DCFM is designed to scale from department level SANs to enterprise networks. Offers high level of access and security. DCFM allows multiple levels of access so only authorized users can change and configure zones and zone sets. DCFM provides proactive alerts with call-home and e-mail notification capabilities. Systems administrators receive detailed, real-time logging, and diagnostic and fault-isolation data, resulting in accelerated troubleshooting efforts and swift problem resolution.
