Project Description: The aim of the project is to develop an application package (Point Of Sales) which will facilitate handling of all activities related to BigFlix movie rental business, a part of Reliance Big Entertainment. It is being developed using java, with a Java-swing based Application tier, Business logic tier, MS SQL database as the back end. Integrated with other systems through web services. The framework and application server used are spring framework and JBoss respectively.

Role: Software Engineer

Responsibilities: Development and enhancement of the system as per the needs and changing requirements of the business.

Accomplishments: Structural changes are made to improve the system performance and better handling of transactions.
Achieved quality, correctness, performance and maintainability in the system.
Got best performer award.

Other things: Configured Solr Search Server (Uses Lucien Library)
Developed a micro site (forum) using JSPs, Servlets, Hibernate, MS SQL
