Responsibilities:-

1. The job responsibility includes the material planning and purchasing for casting from the receipt of new Sales Order to execute the order in delivery time. The casting and forging purchase includes following grades depending upon material of composition and technical requirements like radiography, Inter granular test, Impact tests as per ASTM standards.

Carbon Steel: WCB, LCB, LCC, WCC, CA15 etc.
Stainless Steel: CF8M, CF3M, Grade 4A, Grade 4C etc.
Ductile Iron : Grade 65-45-12, Grade 60-40-18 etc.
Forging: A105, F316 etc

2. The Material planning includes tonnage calculation and foundry capacity per month.
Development and analysis of various Procurement schedules as per production requirements. Implementation of various inventory control techniques in order to achieve a cost effectiveness and maintenance of optimum stock level.

3. The Import purchase from China for cost reduction and Customer delivery in time. Includes placing an order to supplier to delivery of consignment to the factory, clearance from customs and other related activity for import.

4. New development includes pattern layout, pattern manufacturing, and sample development of casting from proper supplier.

5. The all activities are smoothly carried out with the use of BaaN system. The system used for placing an order till final receipt in material department.
