1. Overall in-charge of Civil Administration of the entire Block jurisdiction with population more than 3 lakh.
2. Office administration with a staff strength more than 200.
3. Coordination among all line departments ( Health, Education, Agriculture etc) for the entire block jurisdiction as the Block Nodal officer
4. Duty as the Executive Magistrate and controlling law and order situations with the help of police.
5. Implementation of all development works and social improvement schemes in time.
6. Emergency crisis management like relief work, Election work, Census work etc
7. Relationship building and coordination with all political parties, NGOs and other organizations etc.
8. Controlling Financial transaction of all types for Development and other Govt. schemes as the BDO and E. O of Panchayat samiti ( Approx. 4. 0 Crore per year)
