Project Procurement for Worlds largest single location Aluminium Smelter plant of Vedanta Aluminium Ltd. at Jharsuguda, Orissa.
Key activities involved are Procurement, Vendor Development, Materials Management, Costing & Comparative sheets, Commercial Operations, Negotiations etc.
Worked with Mckinsey for Global Vendor/ Supplier Identification.
Looking after sourcing of Plants Utilities (EOT Cranes, Cooling Towers, Water Pumps, Fire Fighting system, Water Treatment Plant, Air & Water Piping, Effluent Treatment plant, Air Compressor) and Electrical requirements for Aluminium Smelter Expansion project of Vedanta Aluminium Ltd.
Dealt with major vendors like ABB, Siemens, L&T, WMI, Konecranes, Paharpur, Ingerol Rand, Kirloskar, Atlas Copco, Petron, Mukand Cranes, Southern cooling towers, HDO, Mather Platte, Coperion, Grundfos, KSB, Tyco etc, and many major global players.
Well versed with the purchase process inclusive of documentation.
Working in and familiarity with SEZ formalities.
Coordination with finance for L/ C openings & payment against BGs of Suppliers/ Contractors.
Using SAP for making Purchase Orders and for Materials Management at site
