Job Profile:

Working on the Operations and Maintenance for VSNLTDM Switch Network with TELES S1000 and TELES S200 Switch.

Switches TELES-S1000 & S-200(Located at Singapore) are switching call centers traffic to international destinations through International carriers. This switch is used to provide VCIPLC (Variable Charge IPLC) services to international call center based in India to make the call to pre subscribe destination & to get inbound call from ITFS/ DID from any country.

Job involves the responsibility for all O&M of the switch as well as handling escalated customer complaints (Technical & commercial). Solving the critical technical problem which involves the interaction with switch vendor, international carriers and commissioning of new customers/ carriers E1. Also responsible for back end process like testing of new services, co-ordination with revenue assurance department.
The Teles switch used for this purpose supports DSS1, QSIG type of Access signalling and SS7 signalling for carriers.
Key Responsibilities:
 Monitoring of ISDN/ SS7 switch (TELES S1000 & TELES S200) using TELES iClient NMS which includes hourly checking of the status of SS7 and DSS1 PRI ports. Coordinating with Transmission, Distant end carriers, Customer for any issues of E1s or PRIs
 Experience in SS7 signaling./ ISDN-D CHANNEL/ ISUP working
 Define proper Routing using vi Editor(UNIX based) for the different call centre customers
 Trouble-shooting the quality related issues faced by customer through dockets by analyzing ISUP call trace, CDR and co-ordinate with the carriers or customer/ customer end equipment vendor for resolving the same.
 Coordinating with the transmission teams to maintain the uptime of customer PRIs and carrier E1s
 Responsible for Operation, handling of Level opening issues with other operators, maintenance and administration of the Switch.
 Traffic Report Analysis with the help of CDRs in UNIX environment.
 ASR improvement. Traffic analysis in order to prevent congestion in the network and for E1 augmentation in case of congestion observed in traffic analysis
 Ensuring that CDR files are properly processed
 Taking processed CDR backup onto server and Local PC using FTP
 Daily, Weekly and Monthly health checks and MOD Backups of the switch.
 Monitor processor load and take necessary actions
 Taking necessary actions for ensuring proper CDR and corresponding report generation for Billing.
SERVICE DELIVERY:-
 Configuring new SS7 signaling links with SP or STP along with the signaling routes
 Configuring SS7 trunks at carrier side as NT.
 Configuration and Commissioning of new Switch Port i. e. E1s/ PRI at customer side as TE.
 Mapping of E1s/ PRIs till Singapore switch.
 24 hr Stability Testing before commissioning.
 Opening the O/ B & I/ O (ITFS/ DID) for the respective Customer has per the COPF details.
 Coordinating with the Dialer or PABX vendor for matching the configurations and getting the link up for service
