Microsoft seeks to help stop phishers in their tracks by employing a holistic, three-pronged strategy of technology, collaboration, and education.
Phishing and online abuse continue to affect people's trust and confidence in the Internet. As the first line of defense against phishing, Microsoft has integrated Sender ID into all of its e-mail products and services. Sender ID detects and blocks almost 25 million deceptive e-mail messages every day. The second line of defense is a browser that uses Microsoft Phishing Filter to help determine whether a Web site is a legitimate site or a phishing Web site. Phishing Filter is a feature in Internet Explorer 7. 0 that helps determine whether a Web site is a legitimate site or a phishing Web site.

Responsibilities on this project include:

I was majorly involved in execution of Test cases.
Updating of Phishing database with provided tool
Reporting the Phishing websites.
Maintaining daily phishing web pages data and sending a copy to client

Description:

The scope of testing is compatibility of domains (sites) furnished by Microsoft on the below browser configurations. All the domains are categorized according to their content and purpose. The default setting of IE should be maintained across all the test scenarios with respect to OS, Browser & website category. we may have to record the test case execution in a video format for better understanding of the bug if filed and some ActiveX tools that may help the rendering of the IE.
After evaluating the requirements, we are recommending CamStudio which is a screen casting program for Microsoft Windows released as free software and this software will renders videos in an AVI format.
