Project: Public Trading Partnership (PTP)
PTP (Public Trading Partnership) is build to support the processing of these K1s. The necessary data is exported to PTP from KPAS. This data is used as input for PTP Adapter which is a module on PTP to calculate and execute the unitization and partner allocation. All detailed information of partnership data is available in TaxShared and is exposed as a WCF service. Any operation on these partnership data is done through TaxShared services. PTP application interacts and integrates with several third parties services external to KPMG including Wall Street Concept, Transfer Agents (specific to each partnership), TaxShared services, and ComputerShare. Other services that integrate with PTP web that are within the KPMG network are Taxshared, AppUse, GoRs, and KPAS. PTP sends and receive XML data to ComputerShare and KPAS via its messaging service which is enterprise service leveraging Microsoft Message Queue to perform asynchronous import/ export file requests through PTP interfaces. PTP access the WSC PDI and Trade files through a SFTP Client component which provides the mechanism of moving the files from their SFTP locations to the internal SFTP server located on KNET. PTP web farm and corresponding database are hosted in KPMG DMZ network, and consumes external services as well as internal services available in KNET.
PTP is responsible for:
Import of data from Wall Street Concepts and Transfer Agents and tracking the import operation
Providing interface and functionality for exporting data to KPAS and track the export operation
Importing the K1 data from KPAS and tracking the operation
Providing interface to send K1 data in a XML format to Computer Share
Provide interface to monitor latest processing status of the K1 in Computer Share
Responsibilities:
