Experience Summary :

1) For the last four year four months: Dy. Gen. Manager(works), Sujana Metal Products Ltd; (formerly Saritha Steel and Industries Ltd;, Visakhapatnam).

Looking over all production, planning, control and developmental activities in structural mill (Hot Rolling Mill). The rolling mill produces around 1 lakh Metric tonnes of medium to heavy structurals like Angles (up to 200 x200x25 mm), Beams (up to ISMB-500 mm), Channels (up to ICMC-400), Flats, Rounds (up to 200 mm dia) etc;

Responsibilities:

Planning production schedule
Raw material planning
Production
Quality Control
Maintenance planning and condition monitoring of Mechanical, Electrical, and
production equipments
Coordination with Marketing department for production planning
Coordination with Purchase and stores department for spares inventory controlling
Continuous up gradation of the technology for improving the production
Able to manage the entire factory, having 600 plus workers and also managers

Project planning and execution :

An intermediate mill drive(24 inch two high mill) of pinion gear box, Reduction Gear box, Fly
wheel, 1000 hp motor, lube oil unit etc; was erected and commissioned.
Construction of new cooing bed for cooling of hot rolled products
Cooing bed automation was done.
A new stock yard was developed for stacking of finished goods
Shifting of electrical substation from one location to another location

Experience and exposure on the following equipment :
Mill stands, static guides, roller guides, rolls, roll changing rigs, higher hp motors, heavy gear
boxes, Automatic flying shears and cooling beds

Hydraulic cellars, Hydraulic power packs, hydraulic lifting equipment, hydraulic pushers, air compressors,
Programmable logic control (PLC) systems, over head and gantry cranes,
Lathe machines, automatic cooing beds, Gas fired roller hearth furnace of 190 mt/ hr capacity,
Oil fired pusher type furnace, having a discharging capacity of 40 mt/ hr, conveyor roller tables, Dog chain transfer system, straightening machines(auto and manual), spectrometer, universal testing machine for testing of mechanical
properties etc;

2) Approximately 12 years : Dy. Manager(operation), Visakhapatnam Steel plant
Visakhapatnam.

7 (Seven) year experience as below :

Looked over all production activities and had Hands on experience in the operation Of Light and
medium merchant mill(Hot Rolling Mill) for producing Rebars(TMT- up to 32Mm dia), plain
rods(up to 36 mm dia), angles(up to 60x60 mm), and Channels(up to 75x42).

Responsibilities:

Mill Setting and stabilization of the entire mill for producing all the above products individually
Hands on experience in mill setting and stabilization
Speed Control, Size control and Quality control
Roll changing and stand changing
Trouble shooting of all production problems
Co-ordination of operation, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation departments for
Uninterrupted production.

Five (5) year Experience as below:

Quality control and inspection of steel products like steel billets, blooms, wire rods etc;
Quality testing and analysis of sinter from blast furnace
Mechanical testing of wire rods for the properties of tensile Strength, yield strength, % elongation, bend test etc;

Salary details:-

Current CTC: 7. 2 lac
Expected CTC: 10 lac

AMIIM (Metallurgy)),
